Your donations have a direct impact on the science that will find solutions for climate change, health care, and everyday materials. Your contributions make a big difference, no matter how small. Thank you.
Our students contribute significantly to all these solutions—faculty member’s labs make the impact they do because these students work tirelessly. Scholarships make a huge difference in their quality of life as they contribute so much to the improvement of our daily lives.
Join today by donating to one of Chemistry’s key funding areas! Our community continues to be incredibly generous and supportive of our programs and research. Thank you to the many individuals, families, businesses, and foundations that made gifts to the Department.
If your passion is not listed here, please contact Nelly Divricean (801-585-7896, nellyd@chem.utah.edu) for more information on how to support the Department of Chemistry’s most important initiatives and programs.

Send a check or money order to:
University of Utah Advancement Office Department of Chemistry (Please note any special instructions for allocation: e.g. “Curie Club”, “Student Development Fund” etc…)
P.O. Box 58006
Salt Lake City, UT 84158
The Curie Club supports graduate and undergraduate students as they work together to build a lifelong community of supporting all future scientists.
All gifts are welcome and will benefit the Department of Chemistry, its programs, and its students.
The Keck Fellowship, in honor of Distinguished Professor Gary Keck, will provide financial support to one graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry each year.
In honor of Dr. Joel Harris, donations will provide support and recognition to outstanding students in analytical chemistry.
This fellowship was established by Distinguished Professor in Chemistry Matthew Sigman, Ph.D., and Deborah L. Burney-Sigman, Ph.D. with Chemistry donors Jeffrey Marks, Ph.D., and Nancy Yu. Donations will provide support and recognition to outstanding graduate students demonstrating a research focus or interest in physical organic chemistry.
The Jack & Peg Simons Endowed Chair in Theoretical Chemistry will be critical in attracting and retaining world-class researchers to our Department, and will provide resources beyond conventional federal and state funding
Initiated by a distinguished chemistry department alumnus, Jerry Murry, and other "Kecklings," to honor the memory of Diana Campbell who recently passed away, the staff award acknowledges the important role that our departmental support staff play in the graduate education and careers of our researchers. The award will be given to a staff member who meaningfully and consistently contributes to and supports graduate students in ways that go above and beyond their administrative duties. This is the first award that recognizes and rewards the significant impact our staff members have on the excellent quality of education and research in the department.
