A chemistry minor requires a minimum of 20 semester hours of chemistry courses numbered 1210 or above, including two 3000-level or above courses (6 semester hours) in chemistry. More details about the chemistry minor and how to declare it can be found through the button below.

General Information on the Minor
- 20 Credit Hours of Chemistry Courses Numbered 1210 or Higher
- Lower Division (14 Credits), CHEM 1210 & CHEM 1220 are required
Upper Division (6 Credits) - Only 1 credit of CHEM 4800, CHEM 4999, or CHEM 5380 may be used for upper division hrs
- Lower Division (14 Credits), CHEM 1210 & CHEM 1220 are required
- At least 6 Credit Hours Must be Taken in Chemistry at the University of Utah
- Must receive a C- in Chemistry Courses & a Minimum GPA of 2.0
- No exceptions will be made for courses taken outside of chemistry unless they are cross listed.
